Barn provides 14% Pellets. Horse owners may provide their own special grain and supplements. Two or three hay feedings each day, depending on turnout.
The stables will turn out the horses during the day when local conditions permit. We switch to night turnout when the summer flies become an irritant. We also put on owner provided fly masks when needed.
The stables use several local veterinarians, farriers, dentists and chiropractors. The barn has a required vaccination program for all horses. A boarder may organise their own vaccinations or join the stable run program. Wormer programs are boarder selected and followed.
A certified equine masseuse is available by appointment. We can also organize, for a fee, exercising, lunging, grooming and hoof care services.
We stock the following health care items. Betadine, vet wrap, antibiotic creams and ointments, thermometers, stethoscopes, scissors, hoof picks, gauze and band aids.
The stables have special stalls for use by expectant mothers. The foal above was only a few hours old and will soon be running with her mother out in a pasture.
